Oil Stick Outline

Using charcoal I roughly laid down my outline. I didn’t want to stick to the correct shapes or edges as the original picture as this was meant to be a source of inspiration only and not meant to be replicated.

Once I was happy with my charcoal outline, I brushed this off lightly leaving a faded outline and used this as a guide for my Payne’s grey oil stock – something I had purchased earlier in the year and not used! I love the life and movement of line, you can evoke so many emotions with it.
