The beginnings – Oriental Ruby

I built up layers of acrylic colour, my aim was to use complimentary colours on the colour wheel; where my end colour in oils would be purple, I would lay down yellow acrylic, where green was my end colour, I would lay down orange or red. I didn’t really stick to this, but more enjoyed just brushing on the colour where it took my fancy!
