A second clay experiment, inspired by a pastel painting produced a few years ago. I enjoyed piercing the clay and scoring the pattern into the leather hard surface. Next week I hope to define the tree a little more using coloured slips – a whole new way of working. Hoping it will make it through the firing process. Looking forward to seeing it glow with a candle at it’s centre! 💛
