“A Son’s Love”…πŸ’•

I couldn’t resist painting this beautiful bouquet, a surprise from my son on Mother’s Day. I have been pondering lately just what my ‘signature’ style is. Even after all these years of painting (almost 25) I still very much enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums. When it comes down to it though it’s the ability to explore colour, draw in a gestural way and impact energy and positivity into my work that time and time again brings me back to soft pastels.

A close up of the layers of colour and gestural mark-making I so enjoy. Below a slideshow of the stages to the making of “A Son’s Love”.

Thank you darling…xxx
