Abstracted Landscape…celebrating line.

I recently completed an on-line taster course #louisefletcher that took me out of my comfort zone and into a way of self-expression that I feel is a true reflection of myself and a style of working that embraces my love of bold line and colour.

Working further on this journey I am experimenting with a smaller 6″ square format. I will choose several of these to develop further. I am enjoying working on Fabriano Artistico 300gsm paper and will carry on my studies using this support. Mediums are acrylic, water-soluable wax pastel, soft pastel and charcoal.

  1. Which is easier said than done. I’m currently doing a course with Karen Stamper that’s having that effect . . . breaking old patterns of movement, and challenging myself to do things differently and use different materials.

  2. Lovely samples Gill . . . I really like the long landscape format. And isn’t it wonderful when something unexpected turns up that invites further investigation?
