After a bracing early morning walk I headed for the studio keen to get started on a further series of abstracted landscape studies. Although the images shown were produced more or less together I revisited each one from differing angles, some using a muted colour palette some more vibrant. Using brush, pastel stick, spraying and drying and sanding back. My aim was to find those colour combinations and textures I found exciting to use in future work.
Abstracted Landscape…experimenting with texture.

Lovely work. I wonder, which one would you choose to develop further?

Thank you for your comment Margaret. Unsure which one to explore as I am experimenting and searching for ways of depicting the landscape that inspires me most. I will post further work soon showing my progress.

Morning Sheryl, this is Gill’s latest work since the free week . . . just though you might be interested. You need to go to the website because the formatting has been mucked up in the transmission. If you go back through her blog you’ll see her previous work . . . she experiments a lot. Wendy
