With all long term commitment comes compromise, challenges and the birthing of new ways of being. Birthing is both a miraculous and painful journey requiring sacrifice.
Last weekend bought sunshine to the Horowhenua region of New Zealand and along with it a desire to feel the sun on my face whilst I worked. I dragged my work table into the garden and the largest support I could find to let loose on…a 1970’s window blind.
I had so much fun working on a horizontal flat surface. I already had my plan in a small pastel landscape piece so just a matter of mixing colours and balancing the composition at a larger scale.

So where to from here? After experiencing the joy of working large and flat I am in search mode, both restless and excited for the next phase of this way of working.
Beautyful work !!!
Thank you so much.
I’m gobsmacked . . . love the art, love the scale.
Thank you Wendy…it’s good to hit a hump of discovery.
