For those that don’t know me, I am an education junkie and love nothing more than diving into an online workshop or attending in person. I hope I never lose the motivation and joy of discovery that I find exploring a new topic – there is so much to experience – just love it!
I recently gave myself an early or late, depends which way you look at it, Christmas gift of a weeklong printmaking workshop held in Whanganui, New Zealand through the Whanganui Community Education. It had been 25 years since I had used a press or cut a wood block. As well as these I learnt how to make a collagraph, a dry point etching and brush up on my screen-printing skills. It was a great week.
So here we are in February 2023. I have just facilitated two wonderful art workshops; ‘Fun Florals‘ and soft pastel landscapes with two lovely groups of artists. I have further workshops scheduled for March and April – so looking forward to sharing my love of art and seeing what fabulous work is created!
Okay that’s me, maybe I will see you on a workshop sometime! Bye for now…
