Spikey red dahlia…charcoal sketch.
There are an incredible variety of dahlia currently in bloom. My particular favourites are the loose spikey varieties. They remind of our trip to the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple in Japan where they grow and exibit the incredible range of chrysanthemums which began in 1883. https://images.app.goo.gl/4fQKAcWmbJmQwAjL7

Building Creative Confidence – Week 1 – KWC.
This four week course is aimed at the beginner artist and today was our first day together, with some fabulous results! Using both charcoal and pastel we looked at a number of techniques to produce these individual designs. Looking forward to next week where we will be looking at another exciting medium.
