Really pleased with the final piece. Although initially I was unsure of the crazy mark making, it did help break through the daunting whiteness of the paper and was fun. I wonder if we all have a subject and/or medium where we feel safe to ponder for a while? Mine has to be charcoal, pastel and flowers. Another A3 sketchbook study with beginnings in water-soluable oil pastels. I enjoy the carefree scribbling and painterly blending with water...freedom.
It's usually the same, you just play about in your sketchbook relaxed and carefree and it comes out better than expected, but it's on paper that is too thin to frame.
