Do you want to try your hand at landscape painting using soft pastels?

I am running a series of small and friendly workshops with step by step demonstrations engaging you in the process. As a medium, soft pastels enable the immediacy of colour choices, capturing anything from delicate hues to dominant splashes of energy. Through these workshops you will develop the means to compose and capture unique moments and memorable vistas. Express yourself and discover the subtlety, richness and vibrancy of soft pastels. I thoroughly enjoy teaching art and find it an inspiration and a privilege to support others to find the joy found through making art.

Techniques covered on the course:

  • materials overview
  • composition
  • application and texture
  • colour
  • surface options
  • where to from here…
